On a day of procrastination whilst sitting in the library on a sunny day I happened to stumble across Joseph Chesson aka Arae, a 23 year old from New York bringing a haunting and ambient touch to the ever growing genres of future garage and 2-step, and as he labels it ‘vibes’. Definitely the right word of choice here as that is all that springs to mind when you listen to his music. Signed to the newly formed London experimental label 3rdeyeldn Records. With a roster of DJs who are sure to be causing a stir in the future, these guys have hit the nail on the head by finding this niche, and Arae is just one of the many highlights.
