Since there’s been a massive revival of Acid House, our friends at We Are Not A Rock Band have teamed up with Offset Festival and Class of 808 (an Acid House Blog) to form an Acid House warehouse all-nighter called SOCIETY. This is the first of the series.
The ongoing project will take over a series of warehouse spaces, curating parties that celebrate the history and influence of pioneering British dance music. With Offset’s keen observation of influential past acts being met with We Are Not a Rock Band’s taste for cutting- edge new DJs, the events will be a celebration of the sounds that were charting their influence through to today’s music.
Each night will feature projections from the late 80s and original artwork influenced by the likes of Keith Haring, Bill Drummond and the YBAs.
The location for each event will be a closely guarded secret – only revealed to those who have emailed location@societywarehouse. com. The first night will be held in 500 capacity east London warehouse
spread over two rooms with Funktion One sound. Society promises to be one of the most talked about and unique events to take place in London this year.
