Mar 18 SPL’s Hollow Point Recordings and Amoss…

Have a listen to the “Hollow Point Recordings Podcast Volume 3″ mixed by my idol, SPL…. I swear, its f*kin nuts!! starts off a bit commercial but thats just to break you in, it soon gets serious! I didn’t check the track listing while listening but there are SO many great dark-gritty tunes that are almost reminiscent of the hardstep and techstep D&B I love so much!

speaking of D&B, check out this mix by Amoss for Knowledge mag, full of the new minimal yet gritty D&B that seems to be taking the London scene by storm… I wonder when it’ll start to leave the british shores and infect the rest of the world; I personally didn’t like the initial minimal stuff as it just seemed like ‘lazy’ half-finished d&b, but Amoss have selected a great collection of tracks that demonstrate the more serious side of this style (by ‘serious’ I mean dark and gritty, rather than the light a fluffy crap I kept hearing initially)…. big up to Amoss in general too, their sound is sweet and production is spot-on, I foresee them moving places at a enormous speed! Definitely keep ‘em peeled peeps!
